First discussion item The e-mail attachment dated
November 3, 2006 from Mike Quesnel to Gini Tate was discussed briefly. This message to Gini was to have her contact Bob
Moran, the House Counsel, regarding the special legislation in regard to the Community
Library. We will hopefully have an answer
regarding this matter at our next meeting.
Next discussion item The e-mail attachment from Andy
Cherullo to Bill Frangiamore dated November 16, 2006 was discussed. We went over each of the five questions and
answers with the following items noted:
· The
first item concerned the reference to the Educational Facilities Master Plan. This must be a current educational facilities
master plan that includes both a long term and a short term plan for facilities and an
updated building inventory.
· Next
were questions over the make-up of the school building committee Who is the local
chief executive officer of the Eligible Applicant? Should
the administrator or manager of our town be on the committee? Also, the question of a local budget official or
member of the local finance committee being on the committee was raised.
· The
next question was about the reference to a pilot program for a review of the statement of
interest. Is Granby going to be selected for this program?
· The
last discussion centered on the timing question of July 31, 2007 as the deadline for
submitting statement of interests to the MSBA. How
is this all going to work?
No discussion on the covenant between the School Department and
the Library Trustees.
No invoices for approval.
Next meeting date is Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at 6:00 p.m.
in the Granby High School Library.
Motion to adjourn meeting made by Sally OShea at 7:25
p.m. and was seconded by Joe Arabik. All in
favor!
