The Granby Music Parents
Association, inspired by former Granby teacher Vincent Naro, who for thirty years served
as director of the middle school and high school music, was founded in 2004 to encourage
study of the arts in our community and to provide economic support to the school music
programs from grades Kindergarten 12. To
date, the Music Parents have raised funds through the sale of concert CDs, bake sales, and
gift lotteries, and have donated those funds to the music program to assist in purchasing
recording equipment and loudspeakers, band uniform shirts, and supplies, and to defray the
expense of booking visiting performances and participating in regional music
adjudications.
Amazon.com has instituted
a program which permits you to assist in our fundraising:
simply enter Amazon through the link below, and Amazon will donate between 5
and 8 percent of your purchase to the Granby Music Parents.
The donation costs you nothing, and will go far to help enrich the lives of
our young people. Thank you for
participating!
The Music Parents
meet six times a year and all interested citizens are encouraged to participate in our
meetings and activities. To join our
e-mailing list, please contact Charles Stephenson at 467-9364, or contact us by e-mail at
