Christina Brownell
School Librarian
MLIS, University of Rhode Island

I have been the librarian at the Granby Jr. Sr. High School since 2006, after having worked in Belchertown at the public library, and elementary school libraries for the first part of my library career. Prior to that I worked in the business field, as a regional manager for a women's clothing store. Although these jobs are quite different from each other, I have enjoyed both. I love to travel and have lived in lots of different places, including Idaho, and California. As you might guess, I love to read and usually have two books going at a time. I love sports, especially the Red Sox, and have been a fan since I was eight years old (a long, long, time...). I also love to play sports, mostly tennis and soccer.  I am married and have one son who is an architecture student at Northeastern University in Boston, and I have a black dog who likes to chase squirrels. I don't like cats, snakes, or any pets that resemble rodents.  In addition to working here in Granby, I also work as an instructor at Cambridge College, in Springfield, teaching courses in literature and technology. All of this keeps me quite busy, and that's the way I like it!
